SAILING THE SEA BEAR
Two veterans sailing from San Francisco to Alaska. Stories from the ports we visit and the people we meet along the way. Join the crew of the Sea Bear as they document the adventure of a lifetime.
Sailing The Sea Bear is a YouTube travel show featuring the beauty of the ocean and the people whose passions are intertwined with it. The host and crew for this adventure are Captain Shawn and cameraman Phil. Both are veterans of the US Armed Forces, one a retired US Navy EOD technician and the other a US Army Infantryman. The Sea Bear, a sloop rigged 1985 C&C Landfall 39 is our home and life support system. She is our magic carpet, giving us the ability to live, work and play wherever we drop anchor. The first half of the season will focus on the voyage up the coast from San Francisco to Seattle. As experienced mariners know, this won’t be an easy trip. Notoriously difficult weather with few safe harbors means that the crew has their work cut out for them. The plan for the second half of the season is to document the adventure of sailing from Seattle to Alaska via the Inside Passage framing the voyage against the beauty and grandeur of British Columbia and the Pacific Northwest. More than a sailing show, Captain Shawn and the crew of the Sea Bear are setting out to capture and share a part of what makes coastal living so unique. Join us as we celebrate life, food and adventure onboard Sailing The Sea Bear. Departing spring 2017.
